For a lot of people who live in the Developing World who dream of living in the United States Of America, the there is no other way of describing their expectation of the country, other than by likening their optimism with that of a gambler.
Every other poor West African dreams of a life in the United States of America. It does not matter whether they are uneducated and apparently have no skills which might guarantee them a decent living in the country, they just want to get there. If you ask them what they plan to do when they get there without a work permit, a roof over your head or friends or family who can help them out, their response is often pretty blunt, bold, but naïve: Let me just get there first. ...Simply stepping foot on the United States of America is the first step towards riches in their mind. They have seen the Hollywood movies, the Jay Zs, and the Michael Jordans. They have heard the music and seen the clothes - the size of everything including the cars and the people. They know all there is to know about the sky scrapers of Chicago, which every major city in Africa aspires to be like. The evidence is abundant all around them. Friends and family and friends of friends go and always come back with a fresh new look about them; new clothes - and money, gifts for the whole family.
Nothing in the world will convince such dreamers that America is not the land of milk and honey. ...Not even racism, because they can always counter those age-old arguments by pointing at the big goofy grins on the faces of the Oprah Winfries, the Obama's and countless of other famous black people in the world of sports and entertainment …People who having not done to badly for themselves despite what cynics might say.
The rags to riches story is perhaps more common in America than anywhere else as far as they are concerned and so in their minds, America might be a huge gamble, but there are enough success stories to compel them to take the risk. The key to success and longevity is to do everything in moderation, while living in hope. Try nfl betting or nfl betting odds. You never know what tomorrow might bring.
